- "PARTICIPATORY CITY-PLANNING".
When the administration of Munich decided to destroy a whole urban quarter called Lehel to rebuild it for commercial interest we
decided to organize the inhabitants for democratic participation: A process of "Public Planning" involved exhibitions, manifestations,
films etc. A new method of democratic decision making was developed and realized over a period of two years.
Without these actions the Lehel would not exist any more. Finally a victory.
Documented in the Book "Demokratie als Nebenprodukt“ (Hanser Verlag) which became a kind of a bible for progessive architects
an planners.
In cooperation with Nikitas Patellis †, Marcella Hoffmann, Otto Vilser/Süddeutsche Zeitung.
Supported by Münchner Forum, Munich; Spiegel Institut für Projektstudien, Hamburg.
